Anemopsis californica | Yerba mansa | Medicinal Uses

View photos of the medicinal plant Anemopsis californica (Yerba mansa), profiled in Medicinal Plants of the American Southwest.

A passage from Medicinal Plants of the American Southwest:

Yerba mansa is well applied to chronic bladder, ureter, and urethra irritations. It is particularly soothing if there is accompanying mucus discharge. The plant is also moderately antimicrobial – certainly this quality assists if the issue is microbial in origin. Men often notice some relief if suffering from prostatitis. Helping to curb infection from bacterial growth/urine backlog, the plant is also antispasmodic. This assists in better urine passage.
